REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

      *1 Protective tape

      Put protective tape around the rear combination light assembly LH.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts.

    3. Detach the clip and pin as shown in the illustration.

    4. Disconnect the connector and remove the rear combination light assembly LH.

  2. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT GASKET LH


    1. Remove the a rear combination light gasket LH.

      Note

      Be sure to remove the gasket completely from the body.

  3. REMOVE TAIL AND STOP LIGHT BULB

      Turn the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration and remove the socket.

    2. Remove the tail and stop light bulb from the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH.

  4. REMOVE REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB

      Turn the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration and remove the socket.

    2. Remove the rear turn signal light bulb from the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH.

  5. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Using a screwdriver, detach the claw.

    2. Detach the guide and remove the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH.

  6. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD ASSEMBLY


    1. A01J30U

      Detach the 16 clips and remove the back door trim board.

  7. REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts.

      *1 Protective tape

      Put protective tape around the rear light assembly LH.

    4. Detach the clip and pin as shown in the illustration.

    5. Remove the rear light assembly LH.

  8. REMOVE TAIL LIGHT BULB


    1. A01J73N

      Turn the rear light socket and wire in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration and remove the socket.

    2. Remove the taillight bulb from the rear light socket and wire.

  9. REMOVE BACK UP LIGHT BULB


    1. A01J3K0

      Turn the rear light socket and wire in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration and remove the socket.

    2. Remove the back up light bulb from the rear light socket and wire.

  10. REMOVE REAR LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE


    1. A01J6OZ

      Using a screwdriver, detach the claw.

    2. Detach the guide and remove the rear light socket and wire.

  11. REMOVE REAR LIGHT GASKET LH


    1. Remove the a rear light gasket LH.

      Note

      Be sure to remove the gasket completely from the body.
