FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

  • A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Click here.


  1. INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

    A01J3LPE01

    1. Insert the tip of the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly to the body as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL SHOULDER BELT ANCHORAGE PLATE COVER

    1. Install the shoulder belt anchorage plate cover as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure the shoulder belt anchorage plate cover is firmly set into the guides.

  3. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH


    1. Attach the guide and clip to install the center pillar garnish.

    2. Connect the front seat belt shoulder anchor with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    3. Attach the 4 claws to install the front seat belt shoulder anchor cover.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    Note

    Do not disassemble the retractor.

      w/o Pretensioner:

      Align the seat outer belt positioning holes with the claws and install the retractor of the seat outer belt with the bolt.

      Torque:
      4.8 N*m  { 49 kgf*cm, 42 in.*lbf }

    2. w/ Pretensioner:


      1. A01J5P4E01

        Align the front seat outer belt assembly LH positioning holes with the 2 claws and install the retractor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH with the bolt.

        Torque:
        4.8 N*m  { 49 kgf*cm, 42 in.*lbf }

        Connect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

    3. A01J5A7

      Connect the front seat outer belt shoulder anchor with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP


    1. A01J3ZL

      Attach 4 claws to install the seat belt anchor cover cap.

  6. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH


    1. Attach the 2 clips and 2 claws to install the lower center pillar garnish LH.

    2. Connect the front seat outer belt floor anchor with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
    3. A01J5NGE01

      Attach the 2 claws to install the outer lap belt outer anchor cover.

  7. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

    1. Align the paint mark on the rear door opening trim weatherstrip with the mark position on the vehicle and install the rear door opening trim weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.

  8. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH


    1. Attach the 3 clips and 7 claws to install the front door scuff plate.

  9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM LH

    1. Align the paint mark on the front door opening trim with the mark position on the vehicle and install the front door opening trim as shown in the illustration.

  10. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH


    1. Attach the 3 clips and 7 claws to install the front door scuff plate.

  11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Place the seat in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. w/ Seat belt warning, w/ occupant detection sensor:

      Connect the connector under the seat.

    3. A01J53JE01

      Install the seat with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

  12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
