FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Measure the resistance of the buckle switch.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 Seat belt is unfastened Below 1 Ω
      1 - 2 Seat belt is fastened 1 MΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assembly.

  2. INSPECT OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR

    1. Measure the resistance of the sensor.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 More than 147 N (15 kgf, 33 lbf) of force applied to occupant detection sensor Below 100 Ω
      1 - 2 No force applied to occupant detection sensor 1 MΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the occupant detection sensor (front seat cushion pad).

  3. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

    A01J6P9E10

    1. Measure the resistance of the buckle switch.

      Tech Tips

      Before performing the buckle switch check, perform the previous step (inspect occupant detection sensor) to make sure the occupant detection sensor is functioning normally.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 Seat belt is unfastened and more than 147 N (15 kgf, 33 lbf) of force is applied to occupant detection sensor Below 100 Ω
      1 - 2 Seat belt is fastened and more than 147 N (15 kgf, 33 lbf) of force is applied to occupant detection sensor 1 MΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assembly.

  4. INSPECT PASSENGER SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/o Accessory Meter)

    A01J5HRE01

    1. Check the illumination area of the seat belt warning light.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 3 (IG)

      Battery negative (-) → 2 (SW), 1 (GND)

      		 Illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the accessory meter.
