PRESSURE SWITCH ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT PRESSURE SWITCH (for Dual A/C)


    1. Magnetic clutch control: Inspect the pressure switch operation.


      1. A01J422E01

        Set on the manifold gauge set.

      2. Connect the positive (+) lead from the ohmmeter to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1.

      3. Check the continuity between terminals when refrigerant pressure is charge, as shown in the illustration.

        If operation is not as specified, replace the pressure switch.

    2. Cooling fan control: Inspect the pressure switch operation.


      1. A01J55KE01

        Connect the positive (+) lead from the ohmmeter to terminal 4 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 3.

      2. Check the continuity between terminals when refrigerant pressure is charged, as shown in the illustration.

        If operation is not as specified, replace the pressure switch.

  2. Check PRESSURE SWITCH (for Single A/C)


    1. A01J7I2E01

      Set on the manifold gauge set.

    2. Connect the positive (+) lead from the ohmmeter to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2.

    3. Check the continuity between terminals when refrigerant pressure is charged, as shown in the illustration.

      If operation is not as specified, replace the pressure switch.
