DECELERATION SENSOR (for 4WD and Pre-Runner) INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL DECELERATION SENSOR


    1. A01J63VE01

      Connect the sensor connector.

      Note

      Securely connect the connector.

    2. Set the deceleration sensor to the crossmember.

      Note


      • Do not use any parts which have been dropped or struck.

      • Make sure that there is no foreign matter or carpet between the sensor bracket and crossmember.

      • Do not do anything to deform the sensor cover, such as kicking or stepping on it.

  2. INSTALL SENSOR BRACKET


    1. A01J41Q

      Install the sensor bracket with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      14 N*m  { 138 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL FLOOR CARPET COVER


    1. Insert the floor carpet cover into the sensor cover.

    2. Insert the positioning boss of the floor carpet cover into the hole in the sensor bracket.

    3. Attach the 4 claws to install the floor carpet cover.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Install the front seat assembly RH Click here.

  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  6. CHECK DECELERATION SENSOR


    1. w/ Rear Differential Lock:

      Check the deceleration sensor Click here.

    2. w/o Rear Differential Lock:
