FRONT AXLE HUB BOLT REPLACEMENT

  • Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

  • The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

  2. REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Remove the bolt and brake line clamp from the steering knuckle.

    2. A01J7EN

      Remove the 2 bolts and disc brake caliper.

    3. Support the brake caliper securely.

  3. REMOVE FRONT DISC

  4. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB BOLT

    1. Temporarily install 2 nuts to the hub bolts as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using SST and a screwdriver, remove the hub bolt.

  5. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB BOLT

    A01J3ETE01

    1. Temporarily install a plate washer and nut to a new hub bolt as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using a screwdriver to hold the front axle, install a new hub bolt by tightening the nut. Then remove the nut and plate washer.

    3. Remove the 2 nuts from the hub bolts.

  6. INSTALL FRONT DISC

  7. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Install the disc brake caliper with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      123 N*m  { 1,254 kgf*cm, 91 ft.*lbf }
    2. A01J61TE01

      Install the brake tube bracket to the steering knuckle with the bolt.

      Torque:
      29 N*m  { 296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf }
  8. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

    Torque:
    105 N*m  { 1,071 kgf*cm, 77 ft.*lbf }
