DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY (for DANA Made) INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY


    1. Clean the contact surfaces of the differential carrier and axle housing.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the installation surface.

    2. Install the differential carrier and a new gasket with the 10 nuts and washers.

      Torque:
      25 N*m  { 255 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Be careful to install the gasket without tearing it.

  2. INSTALL REAR AXLE SHAFT LH OIL SEAL


    1. Install the axle shaft oil seal Click here.

    1. Install the axle shaft oil seal Click here.

  4. INSTALL REAR AXLE SHAFT WITH BACKING PLATE LH


    1. Install the axle shaft with backing plate Click here.

    1. Install the axle shaft with backing plate Click here.

  6. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE


    1. Install the parking brake cable Click here.

  7. INSTALL REAR SPEED SENSOR LH


    1. Install the speed sensor Click here.

    1. Install the speed sensor Click here.

  9. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE LH


    1. Install the parking brake shoe Click here.

  10. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE RH

  11. INSTALL BRAKE RETURN SPRING LH


    1. Install the return spring Click here.

  12. INSTALL BRAKE RETURN SPRING RH

  13. CHECK PARKING BRAKE INSTALLATION

  14. BLEED AIR FROM BRAKE LINE


    1. Bleed air from brake line Click here.

  15. CHECK FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR


    1. Check the fluid level in the reservoir Click here.

  16. CHECK FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE


    1. Check for brake fluid leakage.

  17. ADD DIFFERENTIAL OIL


    1. Refill the differential oil Click here.

  18. INSTALL REAR PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the propeller shaft Click here.

  20. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL


    1. Adjust the parking brake lever travel Click here.

  21. CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL


    1. Check the ABS speed sensor signal Click here.
