COUNTER GEAR DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE NO. 2 COUNTER GEAR FRONT BEARING SNAP RING


    1. Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring from the counter gear.

  2. REMOVE COUNTER GEAR FRONT BEARING

      Using SST and a press, press out the front bearing from the counter gear.

  3. INSPECT COUNTER GEAR


    1. A01J5YOE01

      Using a micrometer, measure the outside diameter of the counter gear as shown in the illustration.

      Standard outside diameter
      29.984 to 30.000 mm (1.1805 to 1.1811 in.)
      Minimum outside diameter
      29.984 mm (1.1805 in.)

      If the outside diameter is less than the minimum, replace the counter gear with a new one.
