AIR PUMP (w/ Secondary Air Injection System) INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. Attach the 3 fittings of the air pump insulators to install the air pump to the bracket.

  2. INSTALL NO. 3 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE

      Install the No. 3 air injection system hose to the air pump.

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE


    1. Install the No. 2 air injection system hose to the air pump.

    2. Secure the No. 2 air injection system hose with the clamp.

      Tech Tips

      The clamp can be installed facing upward or downward.

    3. Clamp the No. 2 air injection system hose and wire harness with the clamp.

  4. INSTALL AIR PUMP COVER


    1. Install the air pump cover to the bracket with the 3 clips.

  5. INSTALL AIR PUMP INLET PIPE

      Install the air pump inlet pipe to the body panel with the bolt.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET

      Install the air pump with bracket to the body panel with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Insert the protrusion of the bracket into the hole in the body.

    2. Connect the No. 2 air injection system hose to the air pump inlet pipe.

    3. Connect the No. 3 air injection system hose to the air pump inlet pipe.

    4. Attach the 2 claws to the air pump inlet pipe and body panel.

    5. Connect the air pump connector.

  7. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL UPPER


    1. Install the front fender apron seal upper with the 5 clips.

  8. CONNECT NO. 4 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 4 air injection system hose to the air switching valve and air pump inlet pipe.

    2. Secure the hose with the 2 clamps.

    3. Clamp the hose with the clamp.

  9. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE


    1. Install the No. 1 air injection system hose to the air pump inlet.

  10. INSTALL AIR PUMP INLET


    1. Connect the hose to the air pump inlet pipe.

    2. Install the air pump inlet to the radiator with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }

  11. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the air cleaner hose.

    2. Install the air cleaner with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      14 N*m  { 143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

    3. Tighten the hose clamp.

      Torque:
      4.0 N*m  { 41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf }

    4. Attach the wire harness clamp.

    5. Connect the mass air flow meter connector.
