LIGHTING SYSTEM Headlight Dimmer Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU receives the following signals:

• Headlight dimmer switch TAIL, HEAD, AUTO*1, HIGH or high flash signal

• Front fog light switch signal*2

• Rear fog light switch signal




• *1: w/ Automatic Light Control System

• *2: w/ Front Fog Light

The combination meter assembly receives the following signals:

• Turn signal switch turn right or turn left signal

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING GTS

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus:

      
      

      1. for Main Body ECU: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

      2. for Combination Meter: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.

   5. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH, DIMMER SWITCH OR FOG LIGHT SWITCH)

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)

   
   

   1. Disconnect the F8 headlight dimmer switch assembly connector.

   2. Disconnect the F57 main body ECU connector.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)

   
   

   1. Disconnect the F8 headlight dimmer switch assembly connector.

   2. Disconnect the F2 combination meter assembly connector.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
