LIGHTING SYSTEM Rear Fog Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU controls the FOG RR relay.

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. According to the display on the GTS, perform the Active Test.

      Main Body
      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Rear Fog Light Relay Rear fog light relay OFF or ON Light Control switch is in TAIL or HEAD position
      OK
      FOG RR relay operates. (Rear fog light illuminate.)

    OK

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Click here

  2. REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU


    1. Replace the main body ECU Click here.


    NEXT

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. According to the display on the GTS, perform the Active Test.

      Rear Fog Light Relay Rear fog light relay OFF or ON Light Control switch is in TAIL or HEAD position
      OK
      FOG RR relay operates. (Rear fog lights illuminate.)
