Ensure that fingers or articles of clothing do not get caught in moving parts when performing this test.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

      Component without harness connected

      (Windshield Wiper Motor Assembly)

      Check the windshield wiper motor operation.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the windshield wiper motor.

        Specified Condition
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 5 (+1)

        Battery negative (-) → 4 (E)

        		 Windshield wiper motor assembly operates at low speed (LO).

        Battery positive (+) → 3 (+2)

        Battery positive (+) → 4 (E)

        		 Windshield wiper motor assembly operates at high speed (HI).

  2. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the windshield wiper motor.

        Specified Condition

        Battery negative (-) → 5 (E)

        		 Windshield wiper motor assembly operates at low speed (LO).

        Battery positive (+) → 4 (+2)

        Battery positive (+) → 5 (E)

        		 Windshield wiper motor assembly operates at high speed (HI).
