DESCRIPTION

The windshield wiper relay assembly controls the windshield washer motor and pump assembly.

  1. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. Inspect the windshield washer motor and pump assembly Click here.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY - IG1 NO. 2 RELAY)

      Disconnect the windshield washer motor and pump assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A11-1 - Body ground Ignition switch ON (IG) 11 to 14 V

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY - WINDSHIELD WIPER RELAY ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the A11 windshield washer motor and pump assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the F52 windshield wiper relay assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A11-2 - F52-25 (W) Always Below 1 Ω
      A11-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
