WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM(w/ Rain Sensor) FAIL-SAFE CHART


  1. FRONT WIPER SYSTEM

    The following measures are taken as fail-safe when any malfunction is detected by the windshield wiper switch assembly.

    Trouble Area Fail-safe Control
    Wiper Motor The operation of the rain sensing function stops.
    Communication Signal

    Rain sensing function:


    • The wiper operation continues at the speed that it was operating at prior to the malfunction.


    • Switches to the intermittent operation if a malfunction of the rain sensor is detected when the power source is switched from ignition switch off to ON (IG) or the wiper switch is in AUTO position.

    Wiper switch operation:


    • The wiper operation continues at the speed that it was operating at prior to the malfunction.
