OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH

   
   
   1.

      *a	Component without harness connected (Outer Rear View Mirror Assembly LH)

      Check the outer rear view mirror operation.

      
      

      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the outer rear view mirror.

         OK

         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (MV) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (M+) Turns upward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 (M+) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (MV) Turns downward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (MH) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (M+) Turns left Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 (M+) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (MH) Turns right

         If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror.

   2.

      Check the mirror heater. (w/ Mirror Heater)

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 6 (+) - 7 (-) 25°C (75°F) 8 to 11 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror.

2. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH

      Check the outer rear view mirror operation.

      
      

      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the outer rear view mirror.

         OK

         If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror.
