Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.
The procedure described below is for the RH side.
PROCEDURE
PRECAUTION (w/ Power Window)
Note
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Power Window)
Remove the front floor cover RH (for Front Floor Cover Type A). Click here
Remove the center front floor cover (for Front Floor Cover Type B). Click here
Remove the front floor cover RH (for Front Floor Cover Type B). Click here
Disconnect the cable from negative auxiliary battery terminal.
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)
Insert a clip remover between the plate and front door trim board.
Turn the handle with the clip remover inserted, as shown in the illustration.
Remove the front door window regulator handle and clip.
Remove the window regulator handle plate.
REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL (w/ Power Window)
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 9 claws and 4 guides.
Disconnect the connector and remove the front armrest base upper panel.
REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL (w/o Power Window)
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 6 claws and 3 guides.
Disconnect the connector.
Tech Tips
If the armrest base upper panel is equipped with door lock switch, disconnect the connector.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and open the cover.
Remove the 3 screws.
Disengage the 7 clips.

Disconnect the front door lock remote control cable and the front door inside locking cable and remove the front door trim board.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Disengage the 4 guides and remove the front door inside handle.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS INNER WEATHERSTRIP
Disengage the 7 claws and remove the front door glass inner weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRONT WINDOW FRAME MOULDING

REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY

REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS OUTER WEATHERSTRIP ASSEMBLY

REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Speaker)
REMOVE FRONT SPEAKER COVER (w/o Front Speaker)
Disconnect the connector.
Drill out the 3 rivet heads using a drill with a bit diameter of less than 4 mm (0.16 in.), and remove the front speaker cover from the front door panel.
Operate the drill around the rivet head circumference and cut out the flange.
CAUTION:
Be careful. The cut rivet is very hot.
Note
Do not drill the rivet at an angle as this will cause damage to the drill and drill hole. Line up the drill and rivet, and carefully drill the rivet head straight out.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
Remove the front door service hole cover.
Tech Tips
Remove any tape remaining on the door side.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the front door service hole cover.
Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
Connect the power window regulator switch and move the front door glass so that the door glass bolts can be seen.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and the power window regulator switch.
Remove the 2 bolts.
Remove the front door glass as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.
Note
After the bolts are removed, do not allow the front door glass to fall.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS NO. 1 CHANNEL

Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the front door glass channel.
Note
Do not damage the front door glass.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS NO. 1 CHANNEL FILLER
Remove the front door glass No. 1 channel filler.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Window)

Disconnect the connector.
Loosen the temporary bolt.
Note
Do not remove the temporary bolt. If the temporary bolt is removed, the front door window regulator may fall and cause damage.
Remove the 5 bolts.
Remove the temporary bolt and the front door window regulator.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)

Loosen the temporary bolt.
Note
Do not remove the temporary bolt. If the temporary bolt is removed, the front door window regulator may fall and cause damage.
Remove the 4 bolts.
Remove the temporary bolt and the front door window regulator.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN
Remove the front door glass run.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the bolt.
Disengage the guide and remove the front door rear lower frame.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRONT LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the screw.
Remove the 2 bolts and the front door front lower frame.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR FIX WINDOW WEATHERSTRIP
Slide the front door fix window weatherstrip, in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration, to remove it.
Remove the front door fix window glass from the front door fix window weatherstrip.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER (w/ Lock Cylinder)
Remove the hole plug.
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw and remove the front door outside handle cover with the door lock key cylinder installed.
Tech Tips
The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the front door outside handle frame.
Disengage the claw and 2 guides to remove the front door outside handle cover.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER (w/o Lock Cylinder)
Remove the hole plug.
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw and remove the front door outside handle cover.
Tech Tips
The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the front door outside handle frame.
Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front door outside handle cover.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Entry and Start System)
Remove the front door outside handle in the direction indicated by the arrow as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/ Entry and Start System)

Using a clip remover, disengage the clamp.
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 3 claws and open the connector cover.
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the front door outside handle in the direction indicated by the arrow as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRONT PAD
Disengage the 3 claws and remove the front door outside handle front pad.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE REAR PAD
Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front door outside handle rear pad.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Entry and Start System)
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw.

Slide the front door outside handle frame and disengage the grommet and 2 claws of the front door outside handle frame, and then remove it.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Entry and Start System)
Using a clip remover, disengage the 2 clamps and disconnect the wire harness.
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw.

Slide the front door outside handle frame and disengage the grommet and 2 claws of the front door outside handle frame, and then remove it.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN ROD

Remove the front door lock open rod as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY
Remove the 3 bolts and the front door check.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
Using a clip remover, disengage the clip.
Using a clip remover, disengage the 29 clips and remove the front door weatherstrip.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR PANEL CUSHION
Remove the 2 front door panel cushions.
REMOVE NO. 1 BLACK OUT TAPE
