HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Pass the hood lock control cable into the engine compartment.

    2. Connect the clamps as shown in the illustration.

  2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. Pass the hood lock control cable into the engine compartment.

    2. Connect the clamps as shown in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the hood lock control cable to the hood lock control lever.

    2. Engage the 3 claws and install the hood lock control lever.

  4. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. A004G9B

      Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the hood lock.

    2. Connect the hood lock control cable.

    3. Install the hood lock with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

    4. Connect the connector.

      Tech Tips

      If the hood lock assembly is equipped with engine hood courtesy switch, connect the connector.

  5. INSPECT HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH (for LHD)

  8. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH (for RHD)
