ROOF HEADLINING INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Glass Roof)


    1. A004G3G

      Pull the roof headlining back into the vehicle through the back door.

      Note

      Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or body interior.

    2. Engage the 12 hook-and loop fasteners and install the roof headlining.

    3. Install the clip.

    4. Engage the 2 claws.

    5. for front pillar RH side:


      1. Engage the 4 clamps.

      2. Connect the connector.

    6. for front pillar LH side:


      1. Engage the 4 clamps.

      2. Connect the connector.

    7. for rear pillar RH side:


      1. Engage the 3 clamps.

      2. Connect the connector.

    8. Connect the connectors.

  2. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (except Glass Roof)


    1. A004FBV

      Pull the roof headlining back into the vehicle through the back door.

      Note

      Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or body interior.

    2. Engage the 2 hooks and install the roof headlining.

    3. Install the 3 clips.

    4. Engage the 2 claws.

    5. for front pillar RH side:


      1. Engage the 4 clamps.

      2. Connect the connector.

    6. for front pillar LH side:


      1. Engage the 4 clamps.

      2. Connect the connector.

    7. for rear pillar RH side:


      1. Engage the 3 clamps.

      2. Connect the connector.

    8. Connect the connectors.

  3. INSTALL REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the rear center seat outer belt with the bolt.

      Torque:
      41 N*m  { 420 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 2 claws and close the slip joint cover.

  4. INSTALL RAIN SENSOR COVER (w/ Rain Sensor)

  5. INSTALL INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR STAY HOLDER COVER (w/ EC Mirror)

  6. INSTALL PRE-CRASH SAFETY CITY COVER (w/ Toyota Safety Sense)

  7. INSTALL PRE-CRASH SAFETY 2ND CITY COVER (w/ Toyota Safety Sense)

  8. INSTALL VANITY LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/ Vanity Light)

  9. INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  10. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING SERVICE HOLE COVER (for Driver Side without Assist Grip)

      Install the 2 roof headlining service hole covers.

  11. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure to install all assist grips.


    1. Engage the 2 clips and install the assist grip.

      Engage the 4 claws and install the 2 assist grip covers.

  12. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the assist grip sub-assembly.

  13. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER


    1. A004G14E02

      Engage the 2 claws and turn the visor holder counterclockwise 45° to install it.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  14. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Install the visor with the 2 screws.

    2. Install the visor shaft into the visor holder.

  15. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  16. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH RH


    1. Pass the rear seat 3 point type outer belt through the slit in the roof side inner garnish.

    2. Engage the 4 clips and install the roof side inner garnish.

  17. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  18. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Engage the 3 clips.

    2. Engage the guide and the 4 claws and install the deck trim side panel.

    3. Install the 3 screws.

  19. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  20. INSTALL REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the rear seat 3 point type outer belt.

    2. Tighten the bolt.

      Torque:
      41 N*m  { 420 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

  21. INSTALL REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  22. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE


    1. Engage the 4 guides and the 4 claws and install the rear floor finish plate.

  24. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  25. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 8 Speakers)

  26. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH (w/ Curtain Shield Airbag)


    1. Remove the piece of cloth or nylon.

    2. for 6 speakers:


      1. Connect the connector.

      Make sure that the front pillar garnish clip is not damaged.

      Note


      • If there is any damage, replace the garnish clip with a new one.

      • When a garnish clip is being replaced, make sure to install it in the direction shown in the illustration.

    4. Engage the 2 guides.

    5. Turn the end of the front pillar garnish clip 90° with needle-nosed pliers and install it to the front pillar garnish.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the needle-nosed pliers tip before use.

      Engage the clip and the front pillar garnish clip to install the front pillar garnish.

  27. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH (w/ Curtain Shield Airbag)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  28. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag)


    1. for 6 speakers:


      1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Engage the 2 guides and the 2 clips and install the front pillar garnish.

  29. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  30. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH RH


    1. Pass the front seat outer belt through the slit in the center pillar upper garnish.

    2. Engage the clip and install the center pillar upper garnish with 2 screws.

  31. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  32. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH RH


    1. Engage the 2 clips and the 2 claws.

    2. Engage the 2 guides and install the center pillar lower garnish.

  33. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  34. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Install the floor end of the front seat outer belt with the bolt.

      Torque:
      41 N*m  { 420 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 2 claws and install the anchor cover.

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  36. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

      Align the paint mark on the rear door opening trim weatherstrip with the flange position on the vehicle body and install the weatherstrip.

      After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

  38. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH


    1. Engage the guide and the 5 claws and install the rear door scuff plate.

    1. Engage the 8 claws and install the front door scuff plate.

  51. INSTALL REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for 60/40 Split Seat Type RH Side)
