UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Engage the 5 guides at the front of the upper instrument panel sub-assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the upper instrument panel sub-assembly and steering wheel when installing it.

   2. Engage the 8 clips at the rear of the upper instrument panel sub-assembly.

   3. Connect the connectors.

   4. Engage the clamps.

   5. Install the <B> bolt.

      Torque:

      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

   6. Install the upper instrument panel sub-assembly with the 2 clips.

   7. Connect the front passenger airbag connector.

2. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH CENTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Radio Receiver)

   
   

   1. Connect the connector.

   2. Engage the 7 clips to install the instrument cluster finish center panel sub-assembly.

3. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH CENTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Radio Receiver)

   
   

   1. Connect the connector.

   2. Engage the 4 clips to install the instrument cluster finish center panel sub-assembly.

4. INSTALL NO. 4 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)

   
   

   1. Engage the 3 claws to install the No. 4 instrument panel register assembly.

5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Engage the 4 guides and 13 clips to install the instrument cluster finish panel garnish assembly.

6. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

7. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL

   
   

   1. Engage the 7 clips to install the No. 1 instrument cluster finish panel.

8. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag)

9. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag)

   Tech Tips

   Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

10. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH (w/ Curtain Shield Airbag)

12. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

    
    

    1. Install the front door opening trim weatherstrip RH.

13. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

    
    

    1. Install the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

14. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
