AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM ECO Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the ECO switch assembly (ECO mode switch) is turned on, the air conditioning amplifier assembly receives an ECO switch assembly (ECO mode switch) on signal and controls the air conditioning to enhance fuel efficiency.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the GTS, perform the Data List.

  2. INSPECT ECO SWITCH ASSEMBLY (ECO MODE SWITCH)

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECO SWITCH ASSEMBLY (ECO MODE SWITCH) - AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the F91 ECO switch assembly (ECO mode switch) connector.

    2. Disconnect the F29 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F91-9 (ECU) - F29-4 (ECOS) Always Below 1 Ω
      F91-6 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      F91-9 (ECU) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
