SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM Front Passenger Side Seat Belt Warning Light Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly detects the state of the front seat inner belt (Front Passenger Side) when the front passenger seat is occupied with the ignition switch ON (IG). If the front passenger seat belt is not fastened, the driver side and front passenger side seat belt warning light in the combination meter assembly blinks. If the seat belt is fastened, the warning light goes off.

  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT)


    1. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the front passenger side seat belt buckle switch Click here.

      Disconnect the combination meter assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  4. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (FOR FRONT PASSENGER SIDE)

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the K8*1 or K9*2 front seat inner belt assembly (Front Passenger Side) connector.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    2. Disconnect the F1 combination meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (for LHD)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F1-7 (P/SB) - K8-3 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      K8-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      F1-7 (P/SB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      F1-7 (P/SB) - K9-3 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
