Tech Tips

The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the driver to front passenger sides, unless otherwise specified.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the front seat headrest assembly.

  2. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw to remove the reclining adjuster release handle LH.

  3. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

      Remove the screw and the vertical adjusting handle LH.

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and clip to remove the front seat cushion shield LH.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (for LHD)

      Remove the 4 clips and the front seat cushion cover.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side)

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD LH

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front seat cushion inner shield LH.

  9. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

      Disconnect the seat cushion cover band.

    2. A01V1O9

      Disconnect the seat heater connector. (w/ Seat Heater System)

    3. A01UYCX

      Disengage the seat heater wire harness clamp. (w/ Seat Heater System)

      Unfasten the hook and loop fastener.

    5. A01UZXL

      Disengage the 2 hooks.

    6. A01UXOE

      Disengage the 4 hooks.

    7. A01V0GX

      Disengage the 7 clamps to separate the front seat side airbag wire harness.

      Disengage the 4 clamps to separate the seat heater wire harness. (w/ Seat Heater System)

    9. A01V0EO

      Disengage the guide to remove the occupant detection sensor connector. (for Front Passenger Side)

    10. A01UYEX

      Disengage the 2 hooks.

    11. Disengage the 5 hooks and remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

  10. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. A01V0EL

      Disengage the 15 hooks and remove the separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

  12. REMOVE SEAT ARMREST HOLE COVER (w/ Armrest)

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the seat armrest cover.

  13. REMOVE SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY (w/ Armrest)

      Remove the bolt, 2 washer and the seat armrest assembly.

  14. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

      Disengage the hook.

      Disengage the 2 hooks.

    3. A01UYRE

      Disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

      Remove the 2 nuts and the seatback bracket.

    5. Remove the front seatback cover with pad.

  15. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

      Disengage the 5 hooks and remove the separate type front seatback cover from the separate type front seatback pad.

  17. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. A01V0E6

      Remove the 2 nuts and the front seat side airbag assembly LH

      CAUTION:


      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.

  18. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front seat cushion lower shield.

  19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD RH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

      Disengage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    2. A01V122

      Remove the screw.

    3. Disengage the clip to remove the front seat cushion lower shield RH.

  20. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

      Disengage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    2. A01UZO6

      Remove the screw.

    3. Disengage the clip to remove the front seat cushion lower shield LH.

  21. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)


    1. A01V0TI

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the seat cushion edge protector RH.

  22. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the seat cushion edge protector LH.

  23. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)


    1. A01UYAQ

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the seat cushion edge protector RH.

  24. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the seat cushion edge protector LH.

  25. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY


    1. A01UXHE

      Remove the 4 bolts and separate type front seatback spring assembly.

  26. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP


    1. A01UXVF

      Remove the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.

  27. REMOVE SEAT TRACK ADJUSTING HANDLE

      Disengage the 2 hooks to remove the seat track adjusting handle.
