FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY REASSEMBLY

Tech Tips

The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the driver to front passenger sides, unless otherwise specified.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SEAT TRACK ADJUSTING HANDLE


    1. A01V03D

      Engage the 2 hooks to install the seat track adjusting handle.

  2. INSTALL SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP LH


    1. A01UXVF

      Install the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.

  3. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY


    1. A01UXHE

      Install the separate type front seatback spring assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)


    1. A01V0TI

      Engage the 2 guides to install the seat cushion edge protector RH.

    2. Install the screw.

  5. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

      Engage the 2 guides to install the seat cushion edge protector LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  6. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

      Engage the 2 guides to install the seat cushion edge protector RH.

    2. Install the screw.

  7. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

      Engage the 2 guides to install the seat cushion edge protector LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD RH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

      Engage the clip and install the front seat cushion lower shield RH with the screw.

    2. A01UY6V

      Engage the hook.

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

      Engage the clip and install the front seat cushion lower shield LH with the screw.

    2. A01V0GE

      Engage the hook.

  10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD (w/ Vertical Adjuster)


    1. A01UXVB

      Engage the 2 claws to install the front seat cushion lower shield.

  11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH

      Install the front seat airbag assembly LH with 2 new nuts.

      CAUTION:


      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Engage the 2 clamps.

  12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT BACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

  13. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

      Engage the 5 hooks to install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad.

  14. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

      Temporary install the front seatback cover with pad.

    2. Install the front seatback cover bracket with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • For vehicles with side airbags, the side airbags may not be activated normally unless the front seatback cover is securely installed.

      • Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.

      • Install the bracket securely.

      Align the protruding portion of the front seat headrest support with the installation groove of the front seat adjuster frame.

    4. Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

      Engage the 2 hooks.

  15. INSTALL SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY (w/ Armrest)

      Install the seat armrest assembly with the 2 washers and bolt.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 199 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }

  16. INSTALL SEAT ARMREST HOLE COVER (w/ Armrest)

      Engage the 2 claws to install the seat armrest cover.

  17. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

  18. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

      Engage the 15 hooks to install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad.

  19. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. Engage the 5 hooks and temporary install the seat cushion cover with pad.

      Engage the 2 hooks.

      Engage the guide to install the occupant detection sensor connector. (for Front Passenger Side)

      Engage the 4 clamps to install the seat heater wire harness. (w/ Seat Heater System)

    5. A01V0GX

      Engage the 7 clamps to install the front seat side airbag wire harness.

    6. A01UXOE

      Engage the 4 hooks to install the seat cushion cover with pad.

    7. A01UZXL

      Engage the 2 hooks.

    8. A01UYCX

      Engage the seat heater wire harness clamp. (w/ Seat Heater System)

      Connect the seat heater connector. (w/ Seat Heater System)

      Fasten the hook and loop fastener.

    11. A01UYCS

      Connect the seat cushion cover band.

  20. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD LH


    1. A01UXYU

      Engage the 2 claws to install the front seat cushion inner shield LH.

  21. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side)

  22. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side)

  23. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (for LHD)

      Install the front seat cushion cover with the 4 clips.

  24. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH


    1. A01V0FO

      Engage the clip and 2 claws to install the front seat cushion shield LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  25. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

      Install the vertical adjusting handle LH with the screw.

  26. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

      Engage the claw to install the reclining adjuster release handle LH.

  27. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the front seat headrest assembly.
