PRE-CRASH SAFETY SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM


  1. CHECK DLC3


    1. Check the DLC3 Click here.

  2. FUNCTION OF WARNING INDICATOR (w/ Multi Information Display (Segment Display Type))


    1. If the pre-crash safety system is not functioning properly, the driver is warned by the PCS warning light (PCS OFF indicator) in the combination meter assembly.

      Illuminated Blinking The PCS warning light (PCS OFF indicator) is blinking when the pre-crash safety city sensor detects a system malfunction. DTC stored
      Not illuminated Blinking or illuminates The PCS warning light (PCS OFF indicator) blinks when the system is temporarily disabled. -

    2. Initial check


      1. The initial check occurs when the ignition switch is off for more than 2 seconds, and then turned ON. The initial check consists of a pre-crash safety system diagnostic check with a duration of approximately 5 seconds.

      2. If the initial check discovers a malfunction, 5 seconds after the initial check is complete and the PCS warning light (PCS OFF indicator) blinks.

    3. Constant check


      1. The pre-crash safety city sensor constantly monitors the pre-crash safety system for malfunctions after the ignition switch is turned to ON and the initial check (approximately 5 seconds) has completed.

      2. If a malfunction is detected during the constant check, the PCS warning light (PCS OFF indicator) blinks.

        Note

        If the PCS warning light (PCS OFF indicator) is blinking, a DTC may be stored due to the detection of a malfunctionin the pre-crash safety system.

  3. FUNCTION OF WARNING INDICATOR AND MESSAGE (w/ Multi Information Display (TFT Display Type))


    1. If the pre-crash safety system is not functioning properly, the driver is warned by the PCS warning light (PCS OFF indicator) and a warning message on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly.

      Illuminated "Pre-crash safety malfunction. Visit your dealer." Blinking This warning is displayed when the pre-crash safety city sensor detects a system malfunction DTC stored

    2. Initial check

Visit your dealer." will be displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly 5 seconds after the initial check is complete and the PCS warning light (PCS OFF indicator) will blink.

      1. The pre-crash safety city sensor constantly monitors the pre-crash safety system for malfunctions after the ignition switch is turned to ON and the initial check (approximately 5 seconds) has been completed.

      2. "Pre-crash safety malfunction. Visit your dealer." is displayed on the multi-informationdisplay in the combination meter assembly if the constant check detects a malfunction in the pre-crash safety system.
