PRE-CRASH SAFETY SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

  2. FUNCTION OF WARNING INDICATOR


    1. If the pre-crash safety system is not functioning properly, the driver is warned by the PCS warning light (PCS OFF indicator) in the combination meter assembly.

      Illuminated Blinking The PCS OFF warning light is blinking when the pre-crash safety city sensor detects a system malfunction. DTC stored
      Not illuminated Blinking or illuminates The PCS OFF warning light blinks when the system is temporarily disabled. -

    2. Initial check


      1. The initial check occurs when the ignition switch is off for more than 2 seconds, and then turned ON. The initial check consists of a pre-crash safety system diagnostic check with a duration of approximately 5 seconds.

      2. If the initial check discovers a malfunction, 5 seconds after the initial check is complete and the PCS warning light (PCS OFF indicator) blinks.

    3. Constant check


      1. The pre-crash safety city sensor constantly monitors the pre-crash safety system for malfunctions after the ignition switch is turned to ON and the initial check (approximately 5 seconds) has completed.
