DESCRIPTION

When the pre-crash safety city sensor uses pre-crash control to sound a warning, a buzzer signal is output to the pre-crash safety city buzzer. This DTC is output when the pre-crash safety city sensor detects a malfunction in the pre-crash safety city buzzer circuit.

  • Pre-crash safety city buzzer on malfunction continues for 1 second.

  • Pre-crash safety city buzzer off malfunction continues for 1 second.

  • Harness or connector

Note


  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  • When replacing the pre-crash safety city sensor, replace it with a new one. If an ECU which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the pre-crash safety city sensor will not match the information from the vehicle and, as a result, a DTC may be output.

  • If the pre-crash safety city sensor has been replaced, or the windshield glass has been replaced or removed/installed, be sure to perform Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory and Recognition Camera Axis Adjust.

  • Perform adjustment using "ONE TIME RECOGNITION" or "SEQUENTIAL RECOGNITION".

      Disconnect the pre-crash safety city buzzer connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      F85-2 (IG1) - Body ground Ignition switch off Below 1 V

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-CRASH SAFETY CITY BUZZER - PRE-CRASH SAFETY CITY SENSOR)


    1. Disconnect the F85 pre-crash safety city buzzer connector.

    2. Disconnect the M6 pre-crash safety city sensor connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F85-1 (BZ) - M6-8 (BUZ) Always Below 1 Ω
      F85-1 (BZ) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
