FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER RH (for Front Floor Cover Type A)

  3. REMOVE CENTER FRONT FLOOR COVER (for Front Floor Cover Type B)

  4. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER RH (for Front Floor Cover Type B)

    Click here

  5. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  6. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 2 hooks.

    3. A01V03HE03

      Disengage the 3 hooks A.

    4. Disengage the 3 hooks B to remove the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly as shown in the illustration.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE

      *2 Locking Button

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, release the locking button.

    2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disconnect the airbag connector and remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire.
