KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. Check that the ignition switch is off.

    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      *1 Locking Button

      Connect the airbag connector.

    4. Push in the locking button to the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.

      Note

      Securely lock the locking button.

    5. Engage the 6 claws and install the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.

    6. Install the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER

  4. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER SUPPORT (w/ Entry and Start System)

  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    Torque:
    5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  6. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER RH (for Front Floor Cover Type A)

  7. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER RH (for Front Floor Cover Type B)

  8. INSTALL CENTER FRONT FLOOR COVER (for Front Floor Cover Type B)

  9. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
