DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU detects the condition of each door courtesy light switch.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the K1 front door courtesy light switch assembly LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the 3D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K1-1 - 3D-36 Always Below 1 Ω
      K1-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    2. Remove the main body ECU from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect K2 front door courtesy light switch assembly RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the F57 main body ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      K2-1 - F57-19 (FRCY) Always Below 1 Ω
      K2-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH OR RH - MAIN BODY ECU)


    1. Disconnect K3 or K4 rear door courtesy light switch assembly LH or RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the F57 main body ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Inspect the back door lock assembly (back door courtesy switch) Click here.

  10. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the P5 back door lock assembly (back door courtesy switch) connector.

    2. Disconnect the 3D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P5-3 (D+) - 3D-35 Always Below 1 Ω
      P5-3 (D+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P5-2 (ACT-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  11. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    2. Remove the main body ECU from the instrument panel junction block assembly.
