ENGINE IMMOBILISER SYSTEM(w/o Power Switch) Key Cannot be Registered

DESCRIPTION

A maximum of 5 master key codes and 3 sub key codes can be registered.

When replacing the key and transponder key ECU assembly, refer to Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK REGISTRATION MODE


    1. Check that the system enters registration mode.

      OK
      System enters registration mode.

    INSPECT UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY Click here

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Immobiliser / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

    1. Refer to the table below to determine if additional keys can be registered.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY - UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the F13 unlock warning switch assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the F40 transponder key ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F13-1 - F40-3 (KSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      F13-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      F13-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
