DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the brake signal sent via direct line and the brake signal sent via CAN communication do not match.

Tech Tips

When the cable is disconnected and reconnected to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, the power source mode returns to the state it was in before the cable was disconnected.

Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, release the brake pedal and wait 20 seconds or more. Then depress the brake pedal for 20 seconds or more.

With the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly in the cabin, even if a hybrid control system start operation is performed, the hybrid control system does not start (the entry indicator in the combination meter assembly does not illuminates in green). However, the hybrid control system can be started by turning the power switch on (ACC) and then pressing and holding it.


  • If there is a malfunction when the direct line is on, the hybrid control system can be started by pressing the power switch with the brake pedal released.

  • If there is a malfunction when the direct line is off, the hybrid control system cannot be started by pressing the power switch with the brake pedal depressed.

Check the connector connection to the terminal to make sure that there is no abnormality such as a loose connection, deformation, etc.

  • When using the GTS with the vehicle power switch off, connect the GTS to the vehicle and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less until communication between the GTS and the vehicle begins. Then select the Model Code "KEY REGIST" under manual mode and enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Entry & Start(CAN). While using the GTS, periodically turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less to maintain communication between the GTS and the vehicle.

  • The push-button start uses multiplex communication. First perform the inspections in "How to Proceed with Troubleshooting" to confirm that there are no communication malfunctions before proceeding with troubleshooting Click here.

  • Before replacing the power management control ECU, refer to the push-button start precaution Click here.

  • After performing repairs, perform the operation that fulfills the DTC output confirmation operation, and then confirm that no DTCs are output again.

  • Inspect the fuses of circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (STOP LIGHT SWITCH1)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Power Source Control / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

      • Use this item to determine whether the stop light switch is malfunctioning.

      • When this item is malfunctioning, the hybrid control system can be started by pressing and holding the power switch for a certain period of time.
