FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOVAL

  • Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure described below is for the RH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL

  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER

    Click here

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN

    Click here

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER (w/ Lock Cylinder)

      *1 Hole Plug

      Remove the hole plug.

    2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw to remove the front door outside handle cover with lock cylinder.

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.

      *1 Front Door Lock Open Rod

      Remove the front door lock assembly from the front door lock open rod as shown in the illustration.

      Remove the door lock wire harness seal from the front door lock assembly.

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (w/ Double Locking System)

      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 7 claws to open the cover.

      Disengage the guide to remove the front door lock remote control cable assembly from the front door lock assembly.

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Double Locking System)

      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 5 claws to open the cover.

      Disengage the guide to remove the front door lock remote control cable assembly from the front door lock assembly.

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY (w/ Double Locking System)

      Disengage the guide to remove the front door inside locking cable assembly from the front door lock assembly.

  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Double Locking System)

      Disengage the guide to remove the front door inside locking cable assembly from the front door lock assembly.
