POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM Only Back Door cannot be Opened

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU receives signals from the back door opener switch assembly. Then, the main body ECU activates the back door lock motor.

  1. SYSTEM CHECK


    1. Check the vehicle specification.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (DOOR LOCK STATUS)


    1. Unlock all doors.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    6. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

      Prohibit: Back door locked

      The GTS indicates Permit according to the door lock operation shown in the table.

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. According to the display on the GTS, perform the Active Test.

      The back door lock assembly unlatches when ON is selected.

  4. READ VALUE USING GTS (BACK DOOR OPEN HANDLE SW)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

  5. INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the P5 back door lock assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the 3D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P5-1 (ACT+) - 3D-9 Always Below 1 Ω
      P5-2 (ACT-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      P5-1 (ACT+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  7. REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the instrument panel junction block assembly Click here.

    1. Check that the back door can be opened.

      The back door can be opened normally.

  9. INSPECT BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  10. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the F57 main body ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F57-23 (BDSU) - P6-3 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      P6-2 (L) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      P6-3 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
