AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM(for Radio Receiver Type) Microphone Circuit between Microphone and Radio Receiver

DESCRIPTION

Using this circuit, the radio receiver assembly sends power to the amplifier microphone assembly, and the amplifier microphone assembly sends microphone signals to the radio receiver assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - AMPLIFIER MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the F32 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the F34 amplifier microphone assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F32-6 (SNS2) - F34-4 (SNS2) Always Below 1 Ω
      F32-4 (MACC) - F34-1 (MACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      F32-5 (MIN+) - F34-2 (MCO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F32-19 (MIN-) - F34-3 (MCO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      F32-6 (SNS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F32-4 (MACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F32-5 (MIN+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F32-19 (MIN-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F32-18 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  2. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY


    1. Reconnect the radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Reconnect the F34 amplifier microphone assembly connector.

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      F32-4 (MACC) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 4 to 6 V

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F32-18 (SGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      F32-19 (MIN-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  3. INSPECT AMPLIFIER MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the amplifier microphone assembly connector.

  4. INSPECT AMPLIFIER MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY


    1. Reconnect the F32 radio receiver assembly connector.

      Reconnect the amplifier microphone assembly connector.

    3. Turn the ignition switch ACC.

    4. Connect an oscilloscope to terminals 2 (MCO+) and 3 (MCO-) of the amplifier microphone assembly connector.

    5. Check the waveform of the amplifier microphone assembly using the oscilloscope.
