REAR SPEED SENSOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the rear axle hub and bearing assembly and the rear disc brake dust cover sub-assembly onto the axle beam assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      90 N*m  { 918 kgf*cm, 66 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      The rear speed sensor is a component of the rear axle hub and bearing assembly. If the sensor malfunctions, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

  2. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS

  3. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB RUNOUT

  4. CONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE


    1. Connect the skid control sensor wire connector.

  5. INSTALL REAR DISC

  6. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  7. INSTALL NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  8. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }
  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL


    1. Connect the reservoir level switch connector.

    2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Click here.

  10. INSPECT AND ADJUST PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL

  11. INSPECT REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT

  12. CHECK SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
