FRONT SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

  • The following procedure listed is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER


    1. Remove the 7 clips, 2 screws, 4 grommets and the front fender liner.

      Tech Tips

      The grommet needs to be replaced with a new one because it will break when it is removed.

  3. REMOVE FRONT SPEED SENSOR


    1. Disengage the clamp from the body.

    2. Disconnect the speed sensor connector.

    3. Remove the No. 3 clamp from the body.

    4. Disengage the 2 clamps from the body.

    5. Remove the bolt and separate the No. 2 clamp from the body.

    6. Remove the bolt and separate the No. 1 clamp from the front shock absorber.

    7. Remove the bolt and the front speed sensor from the steering knuckle.

      Note


      • Keep the speed sensor tip and installation portion free of foreign matter.

      • Remove the speed sensor without turning it from its original installation angle.
