BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR(for LHD) REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

While the auxiliary battery is connected, even if the ignition switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or any door courtesy switch is turned on. Therefore, when servicing brake system components, do not depress the brake pedal or open/close the doors while the auxiliary battery is connected.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

  3. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Knee Airbag)

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/o Knee Airbag)

  6. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/o Knee Airbag)

  7. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A01V1HA

      Disconnect the connector from the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly.

    2. A01V1WZ

      Remove the 2 bolts and the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly from the brake pedal support sub-assembly.

      Note


      • Do not drop the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly.

      • If the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly has been dropped, replace the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly with a new one.
