DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) sends signals to the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver via a direct line.

Note


  • When replacing the tire pressure warning ECU, read the IDs stored in the old ECU using the GTS and write them down before removal.

  • It is necessary to perform initialization (See page ) after registration Click here of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU after the ECU has been replaced.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER- MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU))


    1. Disconnect the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver K39 connector and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) F57 connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K39-5 (PRG2) - F57-25 (PRG2) Always Below 1 Ω
      K39-5 (PRG2) or F57-25 (PRG2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  2. REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER


    1. Replace the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver Click here.

  4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

  5. CHECK DTC OUTPUT

    2. Turn the ignition switch off.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).
