  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  2. REMOVE REAR ABSORBER CAP

      Disengage the 2 claws and 2 guides, and remove the rear absorber cap.

  3. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY

      Support the rear axle beam assembly with a jack. Insert a wooden block between the jack and the rear axle spring seat to prevent damage.

      Note

      Keep supporting the rear axle beam assembly with a jack until the installation of the rear shock absorber assembly is complete.

      Remove the 2 nuts while holding the rear shock absorber piston rod from rotating.

    3. Remove the rear shock absorber cushion retainer and the rear suspension support.

      Remove the bolt while holding the nut from rotating and remove the rear shock absorber assembly.

      Note

      Since a stopper nut is used, turn the bolt.

  4. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION SUPPORT STOPPER


    1. Remove the rear suspension support stopper from the rear shock absorber assembly.

  5. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION SUPPORT ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the rear suspension support assembly from the rear shock absorber assembly.
