The lane departure alert system operates using systems shared with the pre-crash safety system. When a malfunction is detected in the pre-crash safety system, a malfunction also occurs in the lane departure alert system.


  1. INITIAL CHECK


    1. Turn the ignition switch off. Wait for at least 2 seconds, and then turn the ignition switch to ON. Lane departure alert system diagnosis is performed for approximately 5 seconds.

    2. for Segment Display Type

      If the initial check discovers a malfunction, the LDA indicator (yellow) in the combination meter assembly illuminates 5 seconds after the initial check is complete.

      Tech Tips

      The LDA indicator (yellow) illuminates when a malfunction in the lane departure alert system is detected and a DTC is output.

    3. for TFT Display Type

      If a malfunction is detected during the initial check, "Check LDA system" is displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly 5 seconds after the initial check completes. HINT:"Check LDA system" is displayed when a DTC is stored due to the detection of a malfunction.
