  • Use these procedures to troubleshoot the lane departure alert system.

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE


    1. Measure the battery voltage.

      Standard Voltage
      11 to 14 V (Ignition Switch off)
    2. While using the parts location and circuit diagrams as a reference, inspect areas which can be visually inspected for blown fuses, problems with wire harnesses (open and short circuits), improperly connected connectors, etc.


      • If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the battery before proceeding to the next step.

  3. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*


    1. Use the GTS to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

  4. CHECK FOR DTC*



    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

    3. Recheck for DTCs. Based on the DTCs output in the first step, try to reproduce the lane departure alert system DTCs by simulating the conditions indicated by the DTCs.

  7. ADJUST, REPAIR OR REPLACE

    Note

    When the pre-crash safety city sensor is replaced with a new one, adjustment of the pre-crash safety city sensor beam axis must be performed.


    • Perform adjustment using "ONE TIME RECOGNITION" or "SEQUENTIAL RECOGNITION".
