MOTOR CABLE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL MOTOR CABLE

    CAUTION:

    Wear insulated gloves.


    1. Install the motor cable (for MG1).


      1. Install the motor cable to the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly with the 3 bolts.

        Torque:
        10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

        Note

        Keep the sealing surface of the motor cable and the connector terminal joint free of foreign matter.

      2. Engage the 2 claws and install a new terminal cap to the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.

        Note


        • Keep foreign matter, water, etc. away from the terminal cap and its installation section.

        • Do not pinch the O-ring.

        • Check that the terminal cap is securely installed.

      3. A01UXNE

        Place the connector shell in position and install it with the 2 bolts.

        Torque:
        19 N*m  { 196 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }

    2. Install the motor cable (for MG2).


      1. Install the motor cable to the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly with the 3 bolts.

        Torque:
        10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

        Note

        Keep the sealing surface of the motor cable and the connector terminal joint free of foreign matter.

      2. Engage the 2 claws and install a new terminal cap to the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.

        Note


        • Keep foreign matter, water, etc. away from the terminal cap and its installation section.

        • Do not pinch the O-ring.

        • Check that the terminal cap is securely installed.

      3. A01V0TE

        Place the connector shell in position and install it with the 2 bolts.

        Torque:
        19 N*m  { 196 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }

    3. Engage the 4 clamps and install the motor cable to the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.

  2. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS


    1. Engage the clamp and install the wire harness to the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 130 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 3 clamps and install the No. 2 engine wire to the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.

  3. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the transmission control cable assembly to the No. 1 transmission control cable clamp and the No. 2 transmission control cable clamp.
