OIL PUMP REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ENGINE STAND

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 EGR PIPE

    Click here

  3. REMOVE EGR VALVE WITH COOLER ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 IGNITION COIL

    Click here

  5. SEPARATE ENGINE WIRE (for LHD)

    Click here

  6. SEPARATE ENGINE WIRE (for RHD)

    Click here

  7. REMOVE ENGINE COVER BRACKET

    Click here

  8. REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  9. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR

    Click here

  10. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT DAMPER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  11. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK

    Click here

  12. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE

      Remove the bolt and engine oil level dipstick guide.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the engine oil level dipstick guide.

  13. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET RH

      Remove the 4 bolts and engine mounting bracket RH.

  14. REMOVE SCREW PLUG


    1. A01UZ93

      Using an 8 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the screw plug.

  15. REMOVE TIMING CHAIN COVER

      Remove the 18 bolts, nut and 2 wire harness clamp brackets.

      *1 Protective Tape

      Remove the timing chain cover by prying between the timing chain cover and oil pan, cylinder head or cylinder block with a screwdriver.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the contact surfaces of the timing chain cover, oil pan, cylinder block, and cylinder head.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. A01V0GL

      Remove the 2 O-rings from the cylinder block and oil pan.

  16. REMOVE OIL PUMP SEAL

      *2 Wooden Block

      Using a screwdriver and wooden block, remove the oil pump seal.

      Note

      Do not damage the surface of the oil seal press fit hole.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
