EGR VALVE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. DRAIN COOLANT (for Engine)

    Click here

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER (w/ No. 2 Cylinder Head Cover)

      Disengage the 3 clamps and remove the No. 2 cylinder head cover.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 EGR PIPE

      Disconnect the wire harness clamp.

    2. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

    4. Remove the No. 2 EGR pipe and 2 gaskets.

  4. REMOVE EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the 2 connectors and wire harness clamp.

    2. A01UY10

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket.

    3. A01UZML

      Disengage the clamp and disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose.

    4. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and EGR valve bracket.

    5. A01UY2M

      Disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose.

    6. A01UXGY

      Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts.

    7. A01UYFK

      Remove the 2 bolts, EGR valve assembly and gasket.
