WATER PUMP WITH MOTOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL HV WATER PUMP BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the HV water pump bracket sub-assembly is necessary.

      *a Temporarily Install

      Install the HV water pump bracket sub-assembly with the 2 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 199 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }

    2. Engage the clamp to connect the wire harness to the HV water pump bracket sub-assembly.

  2. INSTALL INVERTER WATER PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Temporarily install the inverter water pump with motor assembly to the HV water pump bracket sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

    2. Tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      6.1 N*m  { 62 kgf*cm, 54 in.*lbf }

      Note

      If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace the inverter water pump with motor assembly.

    3. Connect the inverter water pump with motor assembly connector.

      Note

      Secure the connector by firmly pushing it in until a clicking sound is heard.

  3. CONNECT HYBRID WATER PUMP INLET HOSE

      *c Hose Paint Mark (White)

      Connect the hybrid water pump inlet hose to the inverter water pump with motor assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it.

      Note

      Perform the installation with the hybrid water pump inlet hose and hose clip at the correct angle.

  4. CONNECT NO.1 HYBRID WATER PUMP OUTLET HOSE

      Connect the No.1 hybrid water pump outlet hose to the inverter water pump with motor assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it.

      Note

      Perform the installation with the No.1 hybrid water pump outlet hose and hose clip at the correct angle.
