ENGINE UNIT INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NO. 1 IGNITION COIL

  2. INSTALL ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK


    1. Install the engine oil level dipstick.

  3. INSTALL STUD BOLT


    1. A01UZWIE01
      Text in Illustration
      *a 18.0 mm (0.709 in.)
      *b 13.0 mm (0.512 in.)
      *c 33.0 mm (1.30 in.)

      Using an E7 "TORX" socket wrench, install the stud bolt.

      Torque:
      9.0 N*m  { 92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL ENGINE COVER BRACKET


    1. Install the bolt A.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    2. Install the engine cover bracket with the bolt B and bolt C.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET (for LHD)


    1. Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.4 N*m  { 85 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS PIPE


    1. Install the No. 1 water by-pass pipe with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    2. Connect the water hose to the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

  7. INSTALL NO. 4 WATER BY-PASS HOSE


    1. Install the No. 4 water by-pass hose with the bolt.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    2. Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose.

  8. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD

  9. INSTALL MANIFOLD SUPPORT BRACKET

  10. INSTALL NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

    Click here

  11. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD

  12. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD STAY

  13. INSTALL EGR VALVE WITH COOLER ASSEMBLY

  14. INSTALL NO. 2 EGR PIPE
