PROCEDURE
REMOVE INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY
REMOVE INVERTER BRACKET ASSEMBLY
DISCONNECT NO.1 HYBRID WATER PUMP OUTLET HOSE
Slide the hose clip and disconnect the No. 1 hybrid water pump outlet hose from the inverter water pump with motor assembly.
Note
Put pieces of cloth into the pipe and disconnected hose or cover the pipe and hose with plastic bags to prevent foreign matter from entering the inverter water pump with motor assembly and cooling system.
Do not apply excessive force to the No. 1 hybrid water pump outlet hose.
DISCONNECT HYBRID WATER PUMP INLET HOSE
Slide the hose clip and disconnect the hybrid water pump inlet hose from the inverter water pump with motor assembly.
Note
Put pieces of cloth into the pipe and disconnected hose or cover the pipe and hose with plastic bags to prevent foreign matter from entering the inverter water pump with motor assembly and cooling system.
Do not apply excessive force to the hybrid water pump inlet hose.
REMOVE INVERTER WATER PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the inverter water pump with motor assembly connector.
Note
Apply insulating tape to the connectors of the wire harness and inverter water pump assembly with motor to prevent the entry of coolant.
Wipe off any coolant around the inverter water pump assembly connector before disconnecting it.
Apply insulating tape to the connectors of the wire harness and inverter water pump assembly to prevent the entry of coolant.
Remove the 2 bolts and inverter water pump with motor assembly from the HV water pump bracket sub-assembly.
Note
If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace the inverter water pump with motor assembly.
REMOVE HV WATER PUMP BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY
Tech Tips
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the HV water pump bracket sub-assembly is necessary.
Remove the 2 bolts and HV water pump bracket sub-assembly from the vehicle.
Disengage the clamp to disconnect the wire harness from the HV water pump bracket sub-assembly.
