DESCRIPTION

The Power management control ECU monitors its internal operation, it will set DTCs and perform fail-safe control when it detects the following malfunctions.

Tech Tips

After the repair, clear the DTCs and perform the following procedure to check that DTCs are not output.


  1. When the vehicle is stopped with the ignition switch to ON (READY) and the shift lever in D, depress the accelerator pedal. The engine rpm will increase as well as "State of Charge (All Bat)".

    If charge current drops, release the accelerator pedal and then depress it again to maintain charging.

  2. Check that charging stops when "State of Charge (All Bat)" reaches the upper limit.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    4. Check if DTCs are output.

      Result
      Result Proceed to
      P0C30-390 only is output. A
      DTCs other than P0C30-390 are output. B

    5. Turn the ignition switch off.
