ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING CLIP (except Glass Roof)

    Note

    Follow these procedures only when replacing the clips.


    1. Remove the tape that remains on the moulding surface of the vehicle body, and then clean the surface with a non-residue solvent.

    2. Using an infrared light, heat the clip installation surface of the vehicle body and roof drip side finish moulding.

      Heating Temperature
      Area Temperature
      Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
      Roof Drip Side Finish Moulding 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

      CAUTION:

      Do not burn yourself on the hot body panel or with the infrared light.

      Note

      Do not excessively heat the vehicle body or roof drip side finish moulding.

    3. A01UYGAE01

      Install the 2 new clips in the positions shown in the illustration. Press in the clips by hand.

      a 3.7 mm (0.146 in.)
      b 1.1 to 2.1 mm (0.043 to 0.083 in.)
      c 34.3 to 35.3 mm (1.350 to 1.390 in.)
      d 4.8 mm (0.189 in.)
      e 0.6 to 1.6 mm (0.024 to 0.063 in.)
      f 16.5 to 17.5 mm (0.650 to 0.689 in.)

      Note

      After pressing in the clips, wait 30 minutes or more before installing the roof drip side finish moulding.

      Tech Tips


      • Minimum hardening time: 30 minutes

      • Time needed for complete hardening: 24 hours

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING CLIP (for Glass Roof)

      c 59.5 to 60.5 mm (2.343 to 2.382 in.)
      d 4.8 mm (0.189 in.)
      e 0.6 to 1.6 mm (0.024 to 0.063 in.)
      f 16.5 to 17.5 mm (0.650 to 0.689 in.)

      Note

      After pressing in the clips, wait 30 minutes or more before installing the roof drip side finish moulding.

  3. INSTALL ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING (except Glass Roof)


    1. Engage the 2 clips and install the roof drip side finish moulding.

  4. INSTALL ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING (for Glass Roof)


    1. Engage the 2 clips and install the roof drip side finish moulding.
