FRONT BUMPER REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A004G5S

      Engage the 3 hooks to install the front bumper energy absorber sub-assembly.

    2. A004G5J

      Install the 6 screws, 6 clips and grommet.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SIDE MEMBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A004EFE

      Engage the 2 guides to install the front side member bracket sub-assembly LH.

    2. Install the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      40 N*m  { 408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL FRONT SIDE MEMBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  4. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY


    1. A004FZZ

      Install the windshield washer jar assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 BUMPER STONE DEFLECTOR BRACKET


    1. A004EWZ

      Install the front No. 1 bumper stone deflector bracket with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the opposite side.

  6. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT


    1. A004FQ9

      Temporarily install the front bumper reinforcement with the 4 nuts and 6 bolts.

    2. Fully tighten the 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    3. Fully tighten the 6 bolts.

      Torque:
      40 N*m  { 408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

      Engage the 2 clamps to install the wire harness.

  9. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT EXTENSION


    1. Clean the attachment surface.


      1. Using an infrared light, heat the adhesive remaining on the front bumper reinforcement.

        CAUTION:

        Do not burn yourself with the heated front bumper reinforcement or infrared light.

      2. Using a piece of cloth, rub the remaining adhesive off the front bumper reinforcement.

      3. Using a non-residue solvent, clean the attachment surface.

    2. Remove the backing paper of the double-sided tape of a new front bumper reinforcement extension.

      Engage the 2 claws and clamp to install the front bumper reinforcement extension.

      Note

      Thoroughly press the front bumper reinforcement extension to ensure that it adheres.

  10. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER


    1. A004GFA

      Engage the 2 guides to install the front bumper energy absorber.

  11. INSTALL FRONT RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE LH


    1. A004E8Y

      Engage the 2 claws to install the front radiator side air guide plate LH.

  12. INSTALL FRONT RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  13. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH


    1. A004FMF

      Engage the 2 claws to install the No. 1 radiator air guide LH.

  14. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. INSTALL THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A004EA7

      Engage the clamp to install the thermistor assembly.

    2. Engage the clamp to install the wire harness.

    3. Connect the connector.

  16. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH


    1. A004GES

      Engage the 2 claws to install the front bumper side retainer LH.

  17. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

      Engage the 6 claws to install the fog light mounting bracket LH.

      Engage the guide and 8 claws to install the fog light cover LH.

      Install the outside moulding retainer.

  24. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER LH (w/o Fog Light)

      Engage the guide and 8 claws to install the front bumper hole cover LH.

  29. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE (OR FRONT PANEL) EMBLEM

      Engage the 2 guides and 4 claws to install the radiator grille (or front panel) emblem.

  30. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE MOULDING LH

      Engage the 3 claws to install the front bumper side moulding LH.

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  32. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A004EAS

      Engage the 2 guides and 26 claws to install the lower radiator grille sub-assembly.

  33. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER (for Type A)


    1. A004FP9

      Engage the hook.

    2. A004ES5

      Engage the 2 guides and 2 claws to install the front bumper hole cover.

  34. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER (for Type B)


    1. A004EQU

      Engage the hook.

    2. A004EFQ

      Turn the front bumper hole cover, and engage the 3 claws to install the front bumper hole cover.

  35. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE


    1. A004FIW

      Engage the 2 guides and 5 claws to install the radiator grille.

    2. Install the 3 clips.

    3. Install the 2 screws.

  36. INSTALL HOOD TO FRONT END PANEL SEAL


    1. A004FHJ

      Engage the 14 clips to install the hood to front end panel seal.
